Mission Statement

Howdy folks! We want to thank you for stopping in today to check us out. We have so many satisfied customers throughout the years and are proud to continue to provide quality event entertaiment throughout San Diego, Los Angeles, and Riverside Counties. Our entertainers all love what they do. But there is also an underlying reason for this. That is because we all want to keep the Old West alive. As we progress into modern times many of us have forgotten the past. This is the recent past of the old west. In these times many things changed forever. It was the peak of technology, culture, and industrialism. The Gold rush, the boomtowns, the shootouts, the soiled doves, the Native americans and everything else that was the old west was all thrown into the mix that would create the roots of our future might as a Nation under God.

Guns and Gear

Southwest Pistolero Productions uses Replicas of real guns that existed in the late 1880's, our collection includes guns like the 45 caliber "Smith and Wesson Schofield",  the 1873 "Colt Peacemaker" The 1880's 38 "Hopkins and Allen", The 1880's 38 "Iver Johnson", The 36 caliber black powder 1851 "Colt Navy", The 44 Caliber black powder 1860 "Colt Army", The Model 1873 Winchester Carbine, The Model 1894 Winchester Carbine , The Model 1866 Winchester rife, the Model 1858 black powder Remington 6 shot revolver rifle,  Winchester 12 guage double barrel coach shot gun and others. Some of these guns have been used on the History channels "Wild West Tech" TV series, and the Discovery channel. One piece in particular was used at the recent 125th anniversary of the shootout at the OK Corral in Tombstone Arizona in October of 2006. There was an estimated crowd of between 8 to 10 thousand people in attendance. There was a special performance and reinactment of the notorious gun battle on location at the OK Corral itself. It was performed on the exact day of the 125th anniversary. Miguel Corona, was one of the hand picked actors to be involved in this Historic reinactment of the famous shootout. It was a true  honer for a chosen few. Miguel brought out of retirement his pride and joy. His authentic first generation Model 1873 45 caliber 51/2 inch barrel, single action, nickle plated revolver. It was purchased 5 years ago in a flea market. I don't think the owner knew what he had. It was purchsed for very reasonable price and has been valued at $2200.00. It is an original piece well over 100 years old. It was appropriately brought out for this famous reinactment played to a completely packed arena at the actual OK Corral. At the bottom of this page you can see a photo of Miguel on hallowed ground with the Colt 45 in his hand. The History channel was there and filmed the gunfight and released a DVD to the general public which promptly sold out.

Movies in the works

Sheriff of Contention. This film is being produced by High Frontier Ventures Group. The Executive producer is Tom O'Mary who also stars and Directs this film. Miguel Corona of Southwest Pistolero Productions is co-producing this film and bringing his experience to the project. This story takes place in Contention city, Az. in the late 1880's. A crazed nife toting serial killer has victimized 3 women in town already and there are a few suspects. The lead role of Sheriff Tom Peavy is played by newcomer Angelo Ortega. He has a fresh new look and does a great job as the man who must stop this killing spree. The supporting lead role of Deputy Sheriff Alan Conley is played by Miguel Corona. The Deputy is a hot tempered man bent on capturing this criminal first! And then there is Parson Daniels. A becon of hope to the terrified townsfolk. It seems all these men wear black, just like the killler. No one is safe in town not even the Parsons wife who is mistakenly killed in place of Melissa, the Sheriffs girlfriend. The female lead role of Melissa is played by Wendy Wiltsey, a talented young woman who has had a busy year. She has been in films and commercials and you may have seen her around. The supporting female lead is wonderfuly portayed by veteran actress Jodi Davis who will be playing the role of Etta Daniels the Parson's wife. Once having played Mary Queen of Scots with the Olde Globe Theatre in San Diego, Ca. Partially shot on location at the Guy Woodward Museum in Ramona, Ca. This production is 85% complete and will hopefuly be released this year. The trailer is done and being marketed at this time. If you would like more details about this production please go to www.computerfun.com/RWP/  for further details.

Preston N.W.M.P. It is a tale of the Northwest Mounted Police set in the Klondike. Part of this film will be shot in Big Bear Ca. Southwest Pistolero Productions movie casting division is proud to be casting World Champion Gun Handler Joey Dillon. He will be playing the part of Ira Austin Aten, a Texas Ranger who really existed. Klondike mountain scout Jerry Potts will be played by Miguel Corona. Miguel's character spoke 8 languages in real life, and drove a dog sled team. Doctor Mary Harris Thompson will be played by Southwest Pistolero Productions co-founder Jodi Davis. Jodi's character was the only woman to ever graduate from Rush Medical School in 1869. Both her and Jerry Potts were killed in the Duck Lake massacare. Filming will begin in June of 2007. The films Executive Producer is Thom Reed. Thom wrote the screen play. He started work on this project nearly a year ago. The idea to put this film together began when Thom and Miguel last worked together on a documentary shot for the Fox network called "Taft, life and times". Joining forces Miguel and Thom spent many hours discussing the posibilities. After agreeing on an idea, Thom was able to push the prooject forward. Miguel will be looking for a1st unit Directer. He is considering Mr. John Fassano who Directed the blockbuster film "Tombstone". Bringing him to this project will make all the difference in the finished look and feel of this untold story. Miguel will be 2nd unit Director. Miguel is also starring as Jerry Potts. In addition he will be doing the casting for this film through Southwest Pistolero Productions. Proudly casting Joey Dillon in the lead, Miguel is banking on introducing a new face to the big screen for a refreshing new look, rather than using a well known actor. This will free up any pre-conceived notions of an actor you may have seen before and therefore you can experience Joey for the first time. Check out Joey Dillon's website at www.joeydillon.com
